What if my purchase breaks in transit?
We have had three breakages in fifteen years. If your order does break we will replace it and cover the cost of shipping.

How will my gift be packed?
All our products are beautifully wrapped and/or placed in our signature logo boxes and tissue paper.  Each piece is supported on a bed of wood wool which is a traditional packaging material for glass.  A tailored hand written message by Michael Ruh can also be included free of charge.  Simply add a product to your basket and at checkout after you have filled in your address details you will be given the option to add your tailored gift message.

Do you teach glass blowing?
No, we are not a public access glass blowing studio.

Can I hire the studio to do my own glass blowing?
No, we are not a public access glass blowing studio.

Can I visit your studio/showroom?
We are not open to the public. If you wish to visit us please call or contact us to make an appointment. 

How do I get to your studio? 
The nearest station is Tulse Hill train station.  Trains run from Blackfriars and London Bridge.  There is no parking at the studio, however it is possible to drop off a passenger. Parking  is available on nearby roads, Leigham Vale and Palace Road. A map can be downloaded here .

Do you have open studio events or sales?
Yes, we occasionally open our studio to the public for events and sales. Please sign up to our mailing list so you can be notified.

I am an architect / interior designer. I would like to commission you, how to I do this?

Do you provide colour samples?
Yes, you can purchase samples of the current colour collection. We ship anywhere in the world for £1. We offer a full refund on samples if sent back to us.  We normally despatch samples via Royal Mail, this is not a tracked service. Please be aware that this service can take up to 5 working days to process and 7-14 days for the rest of the world. Please view and purchase our current colours here.

Can you colour match?
Yes, we do have a colour matching service. Please provide us with any kind of colour swatch, it can be carpet, paper, fabric etc.  We will try and match the colour you want to replicate or if you like we can find a harmonious matching colour for your project.

What materials do you use?
All of our glass is lead free crystal which we melt in our studio in South London. Each piece is hand made and hand assembled. No two pieces will be exactly alike. Variations in dimensions, shape and colour of glass are normal and expected. Products are grouped by purchase order, and multiple quantities of the same product will be matched as closely as possible. Products from separate purchase orders may vary in size, shape, colour and materials.

How do I clean my Michael Ruh Tableware?
All functional glass ware can be washed in warm soapy water and then dried with a cloth, this will keep the glass in perfect condition.

What are your lead times?
Production estimates are given on each product in the shop and are based on current production schedules.  Rush order availability is dependent on production schedules so please contact us before you place your order.   All items are produced individually by hand, and the quality of the products is our primary concern; therefore, delays may occur in manufacturing. The precise time of production and delivery is not a condition of sale.
